Lesson Planning In Pakistani Scenario Part -2 میں کرتا ہوں تو مجھے سمجھ آجاتا ہے

I hope that all the things will be understood by you which we discussed in Part-1. As no point is raised so far.

The Next step of Lesson Plan is Assessment. When you recapitulate the important points of your lesson. Then it is time to know how much of your class/ students have understood the concept/ content. So encourage the students to ask questions. In this way a teacher can find out which are the areas of the lesson clear or NOT clear to the class or certain group of class. Asking questions by the student is also sign that the student are taking interest in the learning process and they want to clarify their confusion, so learning is taking place. And if the students are not asking questions then it the the responsibility of the teachers to ask questions. So that how much learning took place and what are thing which need reinforcement. So the last step in lesson plan should be assigning home work and it checking on the next day.

If we make a format of a Lesson Plan, it will look like this:

  1. Topic (SLO (s) from National Curriculum 2006 – Pakistan)
  2. Introduction
  3. Announcement of Aim
  4. Development
  5. Recapitulation
  6. Assessment
  7. Assigning Home Work

You can add or delete any step as per your class / content need. And can also add the list/ hint that what kind of AV aid or low cost/ no cost material you will use.  For effective teaching learning process AV aids are must.  Remember the quote of Confucius: “I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand.” میں سنتا ہوں تو بھول جاتا ہوں۔ میں دیکھتا ہوں تو یاد رہتا ہے اور جب میں کرتا ہوں تو مجھے سمجھ آجاتا ہے۔
