50 Thousand Teachers Celebrated Eid Without Pay in Punjab due to  PEF Negligence. This was news all around during the three holidays of Eid Ul Fitr 2011. According to details about 50 thousand Teachers are working under FAS Programme of Punajb Education Foundation in 29 districts of Punajb. These Teachers are teaching in the far-flung and backward areas of Punjab. And on the eve of Eid Ul Fitr these 50 thousand teachers were not paid salary till today (may be paid on 5-Sep-11) due to the laziness and negligence of administration of PEF. The families of teachers especially the children demanded the Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif to take strict action against these people who did not follow the instructions of government to distribute the salary on 25-Sep. While in other institutions of Punjab the salary was transferred before Eid.

Any one can easily imagine that how a Teacher who has limited resource can celebrate Eid with out salary. The amount of salary is small that most of the teachers are spending hand to mouth life. These teachers are are imparting quality education in far flung/ remote are of Punajb, where basic facilities of life are still missing. Why this is happening to teachers community, it is because that teachers do not have sting to endanger other. A Teacher is  always busy in grooming the students. But at the end of the day is poorly paid and on Eid days not one or ten but about 50 thousands Teachers  are deprived of their salaries due to the negligence and laziness of some administrative. اگر پاکستان کو ترقی یافتہ بنانا ہے تو استاد کا احترم سب کو کرنا ہو گا۔ کہنا کافی نہیں بلکہ یہ احترام نظر بھی آنا چاہیے۔ ورنہ جس قوم نے استاد کو رسوا کیا وہ قوم خود رسوا ہو گئی۔
